Die niederländische Firma Conceptronic stellt eine ganze Reiche von Media-Servern und Media-Clients her.

iStar HD mini
Bei meiner Beschäftigung mit Conceptronic bin ich auf iStar HD mini gestossen.
Das ist ein digitaler Medienplayer mit HDTV-Auflösung (720p, 1080p).

Festplatte für iStar HD mini
Es muss eine Festplatte mit dem SATA-Kabel links am Gehäuse angeschlossen werden, sonst funktionieren viele Funktionen nicht. Auf diese Festplatte werden nämlich wichtige "Network Media Tank"-Anwendungen installiert. Die Platte wird als EXT2 oder EXT3 formatiert.
Ich habe dafür eine Samsung HM320JI (320 GB, 2.5") SATA-Platte gekauft. Die 2.5" und die 3.5" SATA-Platten haben identische Anschlüsse.
Damit ich auch unter Windows Vista auf diese Platte zugreifen kann, habe ich Ext2IFS (http://www.fs-driver.org) auf meinen Vista-Computern installiert.
