Ein neuer AudioPlayer, der zur Zeit (Version 0.3 vonm 27.10.2007) noch "alpha" ist.
Songbird is based on Mozilla's XULRunner platform, thus capable of running on Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS X, and most distributions of Linux with few modifications.
On the Windows and Macintosh platforms, Songbird utilizes the VideoLAN (VLC) Client plugin for media playback and SQLite for MediaLibrary organization and storage.
Das Entwicklerteam (Rob Lord, Justin Frankel,... ) kommt aus der Ecke WinAmp und ....
Funktionaliät:

- Built in RSS subscription and MP3 file download (Podcasting).
- Burch Mozilla XUL Basis sowohl für Linux als auch für Windows verfügbar
